Well, it came and went. One of my top 3 Fav holidays...Halloween. We had a 4 day long holiday this year. On the Thursday before Halloween, we had a school meeting/Halloween fest at Coop's school. He was Buzz Lightyear this year and very proud of his costume. We went to the school and they had games set up in the gym (musical chairs, ring toss, etc) for the kids while the parents visited the classrooms. After meeting with his teacher, we all went to the cafeteria for hot dogs. A 'ghost' read us a story, the principal spoke and then we headed home. On Friday night, the town hosted Halloween in the Park. That's the picture above. They had a costume contest, free food, lots of games for the kids with candy as prizes. His Nana and Poppa were there blowing up balloons for kiddos. We had a really good time. Saturday night was our church Fall Festival. The kids played soccer while we set up dinner....hot dogs, chili, chips, cookies...yum. After eating, the kids bobbed for apples....it was hilarious. I don't think any of them even knew what it was. They were soaked! Coop stood back watching. Finally, he walked up, picked up an apple by the stem and declared, "This is easy!". We gathered up our goodies and went to get icees at Burger King. They passed out candy, too. That was our extent of trick-or-treating. We went home and passed out candy then. Coop loved it. We ended up with 7 trick-or-treaters total...I was actually surprised we had that many. On Sunday, actual Halloween night, I baked cookies and we ate more candy. Great Halloween. Hope everyone had a good holiday.

Sounds like lots of fun! Reese enjoyed handing out candy too. I may have "tricked" her into thinking that you give OUT candy on Halloween when the trick-or-treaters come to your house. She never asked why she wasn't one of the trick-or-treaters...my evil plot worked!
